I am not sure if this forum is ideal for this discussion. But I have searched extensively and havent found a reliable "Yellow Safety Marker". Ours is a foundry and hence the level of dirt and dust is high. We have to repaint our footprints almost every 3 months.
Any suggestion on a permanent solution??
Thanks in advance ..

I had a similar problem in a machine shop with a high level of oil in the air and on the floor. We used denatured alcohol to strip the floor prior to painting but we still had to frequently repaint the lines.

I take this as part of the fifth S, sustain.

Hi Ojas - are you still struggling with this problem? If so, I have several suggestions and can most certainly help.

Dear Gokhale,

You may please try getting the cement mixed paint for your aisle markings in the shopfloor. I am sure you would have seen the traffic police use this method to draw marks on the road. However, if you are changing the lines direction freqently, then you may have difficulties taking out these ones.

Still, you may please consider this as a challenge and work on it to overcome the recurring problem. As we know, we do not compromise on 5S and definately there are better answers to the problem you are going through.

Another alternative is a product my company sells that is about 4mil thick and is very durable, all you do is peel and stick. You must use denatured alcohol to clean floor but works very well. We offer floor marking tape, foot prints, floor angles as well as other products related to this subject. All of these do not require painting or production lines down to install.
