Dear community,
Here I launch the upgrade version of operational standard work template, v3.00, based on the feedbacks I received from current users of the one I posted earlier in the forum. Below lists the feature changes from the old version:
1. Smaller the time observation dialog box size to fit small screen computer;
2. Longer equipment/tool item list - up to 10;
3. Longer work content item list - up to 30;
4. More enhanced graphic icons provision, includes general icons, process flow map icons, spaghatti map icons and VSM icons; as well as improve the feature of icons operation, such as moving.
5. Stablize and improve entire sheet copy/paste feature;
6. Consolidate features of Create/Open/Delete/BarChart to one standard work manager box;
7. Enlarge the graphic area;
8. Graphic PPE items;
9. Enable the conversion from old version file to upgrade version; Conversion between each 2 files of the same upgrade version is functioning as well.
10. Bigger the size of Audit sheet.
Please kindly feedback me of any of your using experiences.
I am also working on the Kanban Card/Post pull system designer, which is in the 3rd round of beta test, and expecting its launch in short future.

James,
You've done a lot of work building and perfecting your Excel application. The programming is certainly advanced, but you did very well with the graphical design and user interface, as well. I've done quite a bit of Excel programming in my time and people rarely understand how much work goes into building applications like this. Keep up the good work.

Dear friends,
The version 4.00 of this standard work template has just been completed. New features and improvements are:
1. Quicker automatic update of the figures of auto/manual/walk cycle times against takt time using standard graphs by simply scrolling the takt time bar or clicking the blue dot.
2. The time observation module is further debugged and functionally enhanced. In addition, user can print out the time observation sheet for any analysis or filing purpose.
3. New feature - Standard Job Instruction is added: Detailed instructions of each process step with pictures (printable) and easy select/unselect to the standard work sheet. This also helps people to more accurately understand the detail steps of each work while doing time observation.
4. Easy duplication of the contents of a standard work sheet to a new one with a single click of a menu icon.
5. More standard graphical icons are available -- including several 3D icons -- to enhance mapping your working areas.
6. Template customization: Using customization DIY wizard to specify your Company name, Company Logo, language and themes(font and color) for the printable sheet.
7. Template convert: If you are using version 2 or 3, it's easy to convert the contents to this new template.

Your operational standard work template, sounds very interesting and i would be interested in having you send us a copy. I am the Lean manager at Letterhead Press in New Berlin WI. We are a print finisher/bindery w/100 full time and 30 part time employees.
We have been involved in Lean Implementation for 1 YR (education for 2 yrs) we are 5S in the shop and office we are VSM our infor and product flow. We have done some Standard Work and are just now starting TPM and QCO.
As you might guess data collection and analysis are becomming very important/useful for problem ID and sustain among other things.
Lookng forward to viewing your work and will give you feedback as soon as i am able.
