This is my first post. I just found this forum.
I had a 2 month window while my client develops software, so I jumped at the chance and booked flights to China and Japan. I've been in China(Shanghai and now in Hangzhou) for almost 2 weeks. I've been lucky enough to see GM and Bosch. (My first times to ever see lean in action)
If anybody has any ideas of other companies or people here that I may visit, I would be very appreciative.

LeanChina (the China chapter of LEI) listed a battery company that was doing very good work. I'm going to make you log in and look them up yourself, though....

i have been searching for the past 50 minutes.
I've attempted to the following to no avail:

lean.org search:
* logged in to lean.org >
* searched lean.org for battery China - no results
* searched the entire lean.org site using a custom google search - no result
* searched the 'connection finder' - no results but by doing a broad search for only 'China' I'm pleased to find people that appear to be doing lean in China... will follow through to see if I can connect with any of them.

leanChina.org:
* arrived in Shanghai June 5, emailed contacts listed for Lean Summit June 6 - 8 - results no replies
* repeated attempts - result...received a reply late night June 7 requesting more info. replied
leanGlobal:
* repeated attempts to leanChina and cc'd leanGlobals listed contact info - no replies
lean.org:
* emailed listed 'higher ups' asking guidance to the correct means of communicating - no replies

I'm willing to be part of the solution and help if and where bottlenecks appear to be.
I'm new to the lean community and may not know the protocol and/or unsaid code. I'm willing and wanting to learn. This is important to me.

I will admit I don't know about the battery company Lean Enterprise China is working with, but I am sorry to hear that you haven't been able to make the connections you would like.

I will personally send an email to the LGN contact I have to see if she can help you.

Tan,

Lean Enterprise China is an affiliate of ours, but not actually part of LEI.

They run a separate webiste, which you can visit at leanchina.org.
