A simple definition of Flow Production is a predefined sequence of activities that complete a process.

Daily Issue Resolution comes along as companies mature in their Lean journey. Simply put, it is solving problems as they happen where they happen. One term that is used for this is Kata, which is a martial arts term. With kata, reactions to different situations (problems) become second nature. So, when a problem arises, the response becomes automatic, speeding the solving of the problem so it does not happen again (Poke-Yoke).

Hope this helps.

Lots of specific info on Flow out there.

Daily Issue Resolution could be any number of things. Some of the tools are Hour by Hour production boards to note deviations from the standard flow rate; Gemba walks with the management team to observe daily issues; Leaders standard work which encourages leaders to "go see" processes that may be needing help; Tiered stand up meetings that flow from team leader level up through top management to keep issues visable; Andon cord pull tally sheets...

I have info on a lot of that stuff if you would like to discuss any of it at a deeper level.
