Introduction: What is this about?
You are invited to participate in an Eastern Michigan University Doctoral dissertation research survey which explores the 'best practices' for successful lean implementation in job shop, batch shop and assembly line manufacturing settings across the United States.
Creating a lean success trajectory is a difficult process because of the uniqueness of each organization. This 15 minutes survey investigates these issues and will produce meaningful findings capable of helping you to successfully apply lean manufacturing to your job shop, batch shop or assembly line manufacturing setting.
Deliverables: Why should I complete this survey?
Participation in this survey makes you eligible for the following:
1. Upon request I will provide you with a summary report, allowing you to compare your company to the others in your type classification.
2. All completed surveys will be entered into a drawing for a $200 cash award to the individual.
PLEASE ANSWER QUESTIONS USING YOUR EXPERIENCE IN LEAN MANUFACTURING.

Hello, LEI members. Would you please give me a feedback about the survey, and advice how to increase the response rate? Even if you did not take the survey, the comment on your decision will be very helpful. Also, I will appreciate your recommendations and input about the differences when implementing lean to a job shop, a batch shop and an assembly line.
