Forums participants,

Please note that there are 2 people named David in this thread who have posted about games, as well as some other users who have posted about games they use. When replying to this thread, please try and make it clear exactly who you are addressing.

If you are interested in David Bandy's game that he described (introduction to lean covering many different topics), then please contact David directly about it. You can either send him a Direct Message by clicking on the "person with speech bubble" icon in the upper right of his post or you can use the contact infomation he left:

Please do not just leave a post with your email address asking to be sent information as, if everyone does this, these threads can become unweildy and full of waste.

Thank you,
Jane

Hi, can you supply a little more details to help out. There are numerous games that can be played, however it is important to understand the audience that is playing. Games that are designed for upper management to help drive change should be different then front line employees that are actually in the processes and need to help identify the wastes. I have a couple that I have found great success with, "The Pig" that demonstrates perfectly the power of SOS documents, and a simple Lego game building widgets, that show how WIP caps and Lean drivers can affect change. Let me know if you're interested in any. Both are designed for front line employees, and are pretty fun to do, and can be done in less than an hour or so.
Thanks
Adam

Hi David,
I'm based in Singapore and need to conduct training sessions on Lean to my team. Lean games will be an interesting tool as compared to just conventional powerpoint materials. Could we touch base and know more about this?

my email would be may_air9@hotmail.com

thanks.

Rgds,
May

Lean games are kind of fun and typically very easy to do in the work place. They typically are not very 'real'. My division has begun to take a little different approach. We combine a lean game/experience in a real world situation. In my community, there are many opportunities to volunteer at various charities and help store, pack and ship food or otherwise assemble materials. We take an appropriately sized group and use the charitable event as a learning experience. We perform the process as given to us by the charity and then take a break to learn-apply-reflect. Then we do the improved process, repeating the learn-apply-reflect cycle several times. The learning are exactly the same you would get from most games, but in a real life scenario that also helps the community. Every event we have done has had pretty spectacular results and the charities get a new layout and process as well!

Dineo,

It might be easier to contact me directly for the LEGO information, due to number and size of files. Feel free to reach me at mdthelen@bluebunny.com.

Hello,

I've created a website, http://www.lssgames.com, whose primary mission is to provide fun and effective lean six sigma games and simulations. We currently have 2 "games" on there right now with 3 more coming by the end of October through the middle of December.

Thanks!
