I am searching if any service industry has a process / tool for conducting lean assessment in services functions.

Hi there,
been there and the best process i have used is to map the complete process from receiving a Customer enquiry right trough to recieving the invoice Colloquially known as Enquiry to Cash!
Its hard work but from this map you can identify % value adding activity - normally in single figures.Then identify the activiity streams - CI activities or kaizen events should be initiated o tackle the waste.
