Do you use some KPI to assess work of lean specialist / coordinator or other person responsibles for lean implementation?
We work on projects and each project has 3-4 KPI - it shows us how we manage projects but I'm looking for overal KPI to assess work of lean specialist
best regards
Ewa

I would not call it so much a KPI. The success of any lean implementation very much depends on the people who are working the process or directly related to the improvement acitivity.
The lean coordinator's effectiveness should be measured in how effectively he or she monitors the implementation of each activity and his or hers timeliness in reporting back to the top management on the obstacles faced in the implementation.

I believe the simplest way to measure a lean practitioners effectiveness is how much do the teams they have been engaging in activities with improve? Or if you have as scoping tool how much do they mprovement over a set period. If you require a scoping tool I have a developed a free one here Scoping tool

KPI's depend from scope of project - e.g. increase efficency - average time of set up, runspeed, OEE, planning - level of WIP, level of finished goods, inventory days

In overall some of the KPIs that we are prcticing in assesing lean practioners effectiveness
Timeliness: In milestones like implementation sign-ff etc..
Leadtime: Planned Vs. actual completition time of the sponsor sign-ff
Quality: Resources spent vs. benefit of the outcomes, affirmed by PDCA
organization lean vision goals: number of implemented kaizens per year or per employee etc..
hope this helps...

I agree with the others on a macro level. On a micro level, I measure myself in a few categories: % of followup items done on time; expected days to follow up vs actual days; daily pitch walk items checked on vs plan; weekly / monthly repeating items completed on time; hours spend on the floor vs. expected; audits performed on time.
I track all these on my standard work. I have attached a copy for your reference. I would be lost without my standard work! If you have more questions, message me or email me at dkippen@milsco.com
