I found an example of someone trying to administer Lean in Govt. Excellent example of current state and future state. The map comes out around 3+ minutes into the video

Look at the Iowa state web site - Lean Enterprise. Other States as well, but Iowa in particular. Some Fed agencies also - EPA, DoD

As a government worker, could the Future State Value Stream Map be for the Federal Government to deposit money electronically into the "Meals on Wheels" accounts across the Country and possibly deposit money electronically into the "Food Bank" accounts across the Country. I would recommend some "Extreme Couponing" volunteers at the "Meals on Wheels" and "Food Bank" programs so long as they don't require much, if any, storage!

The other excellent example (in addition to the State of Iowa) is the State of Minnesota.
