Hello everyone,
i have seen this topic has been discussed before,
but still i have some doubts ..
We have injection machines here and in the same injection machine we produce more than one type of product ..lets say A,B,C
takt time = avaible time / demand
so, while this product share the machine with other products,
won't its avaible time get short ? (pardon my english)

but , this also doesnt make sense to me..because this kind of calculation seems like it is about "machine" and not about product

Thank you in advance

Ozgun,
My understanding of TAKT is simply, TOTAL DEMAND (A+B+C) for X period of time. Time available now is, let us say X is 5 days, and the machine runs for 8 hrs per shift and a total of 2 shifts per day. Then TAKT becomes (8*60*2*5)/(A+B+C).
So, if demand combined for 3 products is 1500 for 1 week, TAKT=8*60*2*5/1500=3.2.
Hope this helps. Best of luck.

The available time for A.B.C part is same, so the takt time is same. Don't be confused be the machine working time, Takt time is about available time and customer demand.

For this case, What need pay attention is the machine to Takt, it is about the machine capacity and the necessary mahcine Qty.
