Hi,
I think there are three main factors which prevent us from decreasing cost without sacrificing quality or increasing level of quality without extra cost. These are unnecessary steps, bottlenecks and variations. So there is no way but using Lean, TOC, and Six Sigma tools altogether to be able to survive. That is to say, partial application of these tools inevitably yields no satisfactory results. Please let me know if you think otherwise.
