Dave Logozzo is the President, Lean Enterprise Partners for the Lean Enterprise Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this role, he works with select organizations at the senior leadership level and at their “genba” where he teaches and emphasizes the role of the leader in a lean enterprise. Dave works with all functions and the interactions that are required to improve the respective business processes.
Prior to joining LEI in March, 2006, he was the Executive Director, Engineering & Manufacturing Operations and Lean Enterprise for Delphi Corporation. This included responsibility for the lean enterprise architecture and process for Delphi’s 200 plus manufacturing and technical centers worldwide. His 37 years with General Motors and Delphi included global business, manufacturing, engineering, and enterprise responsibilities.
Dave’s experience includes Production Manager and Chief Engineer for the AC Rochester Division, International Operations Manager for the Delphi Energy Division, and Business Line Leader of Delphi’s Exhaust Business, a billion dollar global integrated business line. On these assignments, his P&L responsibility included the various partnerships and ventures within the supply chain and implementing lean and flexible manufacturing modules in locations around the world. He led numerous programs and new product introductions to major automotive OEMs, including several years with an innovative learning relationship on various supply initiatives with Toyota.
Dave has a passion to support organizations that want to succeed using transformed business processes and continuous improvement methodologies. He believes that there is great opportunity for improvement in our current processes.
Dave received his mechanical engineering degree in 1973 from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) and his MBA in 1987 from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He has served as a guest seminar lecturer for various universities and professional organizations. He is a member of the Shingo Prize Board of Governors and has been selected as a lifetime member of the Shingo Prize Academy.
