Jim LuckmanJim Luckman is a faculty member of the Lean Enterprise Institute.

As the former site manager at Delphi Automotive's Technical Center in Rochester, N.Y., and chief engineer for fuel systems, Luckman led a lean transformation of the center and supporting functions by applying lean principles to product development. As the executive champion and change agent for lean engineering, he coached and trained engineers at Delphi and outside companies. During his 34 years at Delphi he gained significant experience in strategic planning, engineering, and manufacturing. More recently, Luckman was president and CEO of iPower Technologies, a company serving the distributed electrical generation market, where he applied lean across all functions of the organization.

Luckman has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Tri State University and a master's degree from Case Western Reserve University in computer engineering. He currently aids companies implementing lean through Lean Transformations Group, and Luckman Consulting, Inc.
