Hello everyone,
I want to start off by saying, I really enjoy reading all the topics, and more importantly, the thoughtful replies.
I am requesting your thoughts and advise on the following situation:
The company I work for, is heavily invested in inspecting parts from other suppliers. Unlike the big auto companies, we do not have much leverage, may be a little with our suppliers. Hence, we inspect an average of 12 items in a day, using 3 inspectors. Our warranty claims are at 0.35% of sales a month on average. Our in process defects are also not a big issue.

So, I am requesting your thoughts and responses on how to minimize/dismantle the inspection regime, so to speak? From a Lean perspective, looking for some guidance.
Thanks in advance.
