Hi,

I am working on a project to better forecast our inventory costs. I am trying to forecast what our WIP cost will be at any given time in the future

I have our cycle time, batch size, demand, material costs

I know some combination of these numbers will give me the answer but I cannot get there

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks

The WIP units would be batch size times the number of Stations minus 1 as long as you are pulling with no push. B*(S-1). Then you can apply cost of unit to that quantity.
