Has research been conducted on the value add of each Lean tool? In other words, what is 5S worth in terms of productivity and efficiency? Has research been done to look at interactions between Lean tools?
Has anyone ever done a MANOVA or analysis with Scree Plots and Eigen Values for Lean tool significance? Has anyone collected data to compare productivity and efficiency improvements with the introduction of Lean into a high volume manufacturing site? Has anyone looked at the interactions of Lean tools to intra-prenuership in a high volume manufacturing facility? Has any looked at cultural differences in the implementation of Lean tools or for a MNC to develop business structure based on lean in a location outside the USA? I am looking for answers to these questions for a post Doctorate study I am researching.
