Lara Harrington

For more than 35 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work across the full product development lifecycle—from advanced research and emerging technologies to manufacturing, commercialization, and executive leadership. 

Before founding Inscape Development Group, I spent my career at Honda, serving as Chief Engineer and Vehicle Program Director for a product portfolio generating more than $5 billion in annual revenue, and later as Director of North American Research, where I led Honda’s advanced technology portfolio, including battery technology, electrification, autonomous systems, and advanced materials. 

Today, as Founder and CEO of Inscape Development Group, I partner with organizations ranging from startups to global manufacturers to strengthen product development, manufacturing performance, commercialization, and organizational capability. Together, we’ve generated more than $100 million in documented value through improvements in quality, cost, risk, and operational performance. 

Throughout my career, I’ve been drawn to one question: Why do some organizations consistently outperform others, especially as complexity grows? That question continues to shape my consulting, teaching, and writing. 

I enjoy helping leaders build organizations that innovate faster, execute more effectively, and continuously improve. In addition to consulting, I teach, mentor, speak, and advise companies, universities, and startups on lean product and process development, manufacturing excellence, battery technology, and organizational transformation.
