In today’s rapidly evolving workforce, organizations struggle with high employee turnover, inconsistent productivity, and workforce skill gaps. Investing in structured on-the-job training is critical for long-term success. This hands-on Job Instruction training course provides a practical, proven approach: the 4-Step Job Instruction Method, developed through the Training Within Industry (TWI) program to address skill shortages and improve workforce development.

Standardized work design is essential for creating clear, repeatable, and scalable processes. Proper work design and job instruction methods lead to greater employee success, improved productivity, and fewer costly errors. This course extends beyond traditional training techniques, teaching you how to structure, sequence, and standardize work for operational efficiency and high-quality outcomes.

This interactive job instruction training workshop immerses you in job breakdown analysis, step-by-step instruction techniques, and work standardization principles. Through a learn-by-doing approach, you’ll practice in a simulated environment before applying skills on the shop floor. By the end, you’ll be equipped to train employees effectively, create work systems that drive success, and build a stronger workforce.

Enhance your learning further by also taking our Building a Lean Operating and Management System course, which perfectly complements the strategies you’ll develop in this workshop.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this Job Instruction training course, you will be able to:

  • Develop a Job Breakdown Sheet to standardize training and create clear, step-by-step work instructions.
  • Apply the 4-Step Job Instruction Method to ensure employees learn faster, retain skills longer, and perform work accurately.
  • Design standardized work processes that minimize errors, reduce complexity, and enhance job efficiency.
  • Implement structured work training to stabilize operations, improve quality, and boost workforce productivity.
  • Develop coaching and leadership skills to sustain a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.

Take the guesswork out of employee training and build a skilled, high-performing workforce with structured Job Instruction training. Join us for this workforce development workshop and gain proven techniques for training, coaching, and standardizing work.
