Ben Root

Ben Root received his Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Training and Development from Golden Gate University and his B.S. degree in Business Management from Kent State University. As a certified instructor from Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Japan, he held management roles at both at New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI) and Toyota Motor Manufacturing, North America. His expertise is in transforming traditional mass manufacturing environments to lean environments. He also has deep experience across a broad spectrum of heavy manufacturing, automobile assembly, as well as the non-traditional Lean companies such the hospitality industry, healthcare, bakery manufacturing, coffee shop chains, grocery store chains, and appliance manufacturing.
