Experience lean principles in action.
In this hands-on, simulation-based workshop, you will learn how to develop an effective and flexible lean operating system built on continuous improvement cycles. Guided by lean coaches, you will experience ways to improve on-time delivery, product quality, and operational flexibility.
Learn the manager’s role in setting targets, engaging front-line workers, and encouraging an environment of continuous improvement. You’ll also explore how and why integrating various lean practices and concepts — standardized work, pull system, kanban, and employee capability development — enables you to resolve problems, make breakthrough improvements, and meet business challenges head-on.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
- Use key performance metrics in team huddles to help you catch issues early, solve problems quickly, and keep your team aligned on what matters most.
- Build visual work balance charts to give you and your team a clear view of uneven workloads, making it easier to redesign work for better flow, less stress, and higher productivity.
- Demonstrate the impact of improvement experiments to ensure your team’s efforts stay focused on results that directly improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
- Train others using job instruction to build a stronger, more capable team by ensuring everyone learns critical tasks correctly and efficiently — reducing errors and frustration.
- Adopt lean leadership behaviors to create a culture of trust, continuous improvement, and collaboration, helping your team perform better and adapt faster.
