Recently, LEI's Josh Howell caught up with John Shook and two presenters – Executive Chef Rich Vellante and experienced coach Crystal Davis – who will be at the upcoming Lean Coaching Summit on Jekyll Island, GA on July 31st and August 1st.

Among other things, they discussed a working definition for lean coaching - the practice of creating conditions for learning and developing capabilities with lean thinking and practice for the achievement of organizational purpose. It is rooted in the Gemba with Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) at its core. It demonstrates respect through challenge.

The video below shares several highlights from their discussion.
