Karl Hoover has been leading change in healthcare for over 39 years bringing extensive experience and success to his executive coaching & consulting including expertise in developing lean leaders, strategy development & deployment and organizational transformation through the implementation of lean based management systems.
For several years, Karl served as the Executive Director, Enterprise Quality & Operational Excellence for Group Health Cooperative in Seattle WA, working directly with the CEO and the executive leadership team in creating, implementing and leading the lean management system across the corporation.
Managing his own firm since 2011, Karl’s expertise encompasses executive coaching and development, lean management system design and implementation, and training/facilitation focused on strategy deployment, active daily management and value streams. Client portfolio includes Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, University of Iowa Healthcare, Stanford Hospital & Clinics, Tucson Medical Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
Karl is a faculty member for both Catalysis and the Lean Enterprise Institute in the primary role of an executive coach.
Karl holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master's in Audiology, both from Washington State University.
