There is no shortage of noise about artificial intelligence (AI). Executives everywhere are pressing their teams to “figure out AI.” At the Lean Enterprise Institute (LEI), we share the excitement about AI’s potential and are actively developing tools that put it to work while remaining grounded in lean thinking.
LEI is developing AI-powered problem-solving tools designed to develop people and improve their performance vs. replace them. Our objective is to build on-demand, scalable coaching that helps users solve problems faster by sharpening their critical thinking.
How many people in your organization are effective at coaching problem solving? If yours is like most, then not enough. There are too few opportunities to access skilled coaches, and the time with them is far too short. LEI is addressing this gap with AI-powered tools trained on its extensive lean library.
Watch the short demo video embedded below to see the program in action, then join John Shook (former LEI CEO and author of Managing to Learn), Art Smalley (author of Four Types of Problems, Creating Level Pull, and Understanding A3 Thinking), and Tyson Heaton (LEI Director and Senior Coach) on September 17 for LEI’s perspective on artificial intelligence and a preview of the tools now in development.

It was a really interesting webinar. Like Art, I was in the sceptic camp about AI and have recently started coming to see the potential – but the demonstration was really impressive. How can I sign up for the beta testing program?
I worked at Toyota for 33 years in Europe & Japan and now coach IT people in the application of TPS/Lean.
Thank you
