A real-time discussion with the Lean Institute Ukraine President shows how leveraging lean thinking and practices help companies adapt to unexpected — even unimaginable — crises.

Faced with unimaginable challenges, the Lean Institute Ukraine (LIU) has rallied to help companies deal with the Russian invasion and ongoing war.

In this enhanced version of a recent Lean Global Network (LGN) webinar, LIU President Serhii Komberianov and LGN Senior Advisor John Shook discuss LIU’s response. They explore the actions LIU and its clients took to keep their employees safe, rethink their business objectives, and reorient their operations using lean thinking and practices. Among other practices, the LIU team is leveraging hoshin kanri (aka, “policy deployment”) to help companies align their small teams and help leaders stay focused on their company’s True North.
